UMB Financial Corporation Hires Director of Fixed Income Strategies
Bruce Fernandez Brings More Than 25 Years of Experience to UMB
Kansas City, Mo. (Jan. 16, 2008)
UMB Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: UMBF), is pleased to announce that Bruce Fernandez has joined the company as director of fixed income strategies
and senior vice president within its Asset Management division. Fernandez will be responsible for
supervising the active Fixed Income group, managing portfolios and relationships within the group
and assisting in growing UMB's market presence. Fernandez will report to William Greiner, UMB's chief investment officer.
"Bruce brings an incredible amount of experience and an impressive track record to UMB,"
Greiner said. "This addition to the investment management team will aid us greatly in driving our
fixed income strategies, and is demonstrative of our commitment to this client base."
Fernandez comes to UMB with more than 25 years of asset management experience. He most recently served as chief financial officer and vice president at A.G. Edwards Trust Company, FSB. Fernandez holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and a Masters of Business Administration from Washington University. He has been a CFA charterholder since 1985.
